Also known as: nPro Energy · nPro district energy planning tool
What it does
Browser-based planning tool for early-stage design of district heating/cooling networks and neighbourhood energy supply concepts. It generates demand profiles, sizes supply technologies and networks, and compares variants on cost and CO2.
What it can calculate
- Hourly (8,760 h) building heat/cooling/electricity demand profiles by building type, age and use
- District heating and cooling network design incl. 5GDHC / ambient networks, heat losses (DIN EN 13941)
- Energy-hub sizing and optimisation (heat pumps, boilers, CHP, PV, thermal storage, boreholes)
- Levelized cost of heat and dynamic net present value (VDI 2067)
- CO2 emissions and primary energy
Status
Active (2026). Licence-based pricing on request; 3-week full-feature demo. No free tier verified.
Connections
- Metrics it can calculate: Waste heat recovery, Heating energy demand, Operational carbon, On-site renewable energy share
