Challenge
Logistics sites often cut ecological corridors and replace habitats with asphalt. Green roofs, planting and connected landscapes can turn them into contributors to biodiversity.
Design questions
- Does the project increase biodiversity compared with the baseline?
- Does site greenery connect to corridors and water bodies?
- Which native species does the design support?
Where are the metrics, tools and case studies?
They appear automatically below under Connections, and in Obsidian under the
auto_properties.
Connections
- Case studies: Adam Večeřa, Adéla Berkovitz, Aycha Chambashala, Ece Yasar, Ilinca Maria Baciu, Lindsay Daphne Macuja, Sara Gani
- Metrics: Biodiversity net gain, Biodiversity stress from materials, Biotope area factor, Carbon sequestration by planting, Ecological connectivity, Function stacking index, Green area ratio, Green plot ratio, Green roof coverage, Green-core anchoring of mixed uses, Native species richness, Tree count and canopy cover
- Tools (via metrics): Grasshopper, Lands Design, One Click LCA, Rhino.Ecologic
