What it does
Visual programming environment built into Rhino. It is the host for most tools in this knowledge base (Ladybug Tools, Karamba3D, Eddy3D, Kangaroo, Galapagos …) and, with custom scripts, can itself calculate geometric metrics such as areas, distances, coverage ratios and buffers.
What it can calculate
- Areas, lengths, distances and ratios from geometry (custom scripts)
- Parametric variants for comparison
Status
Part of Rhino 6–8.
Connections
- Used in case studies: Adam Večeřa, Hynek Hrabík, Lindsay Daphne Macuja, Natalie Žižková, Robin Jesenský, Roshni Basu, Sara Sulollari
- Metrics it can calculate: Land take, Distance to housing, Impervious surface ratio, Green area ratio, Green roof coverage, Biotope area factor, Publicly accessible area, Space utilisation
